Identification, composition and intended use of the medical device
The respiratory mucosa is sensitive to attacks from pathogens, pollutants, and environmental irritants, which can penetrate the pharynx, bronchi, and lungs, reaching the airways, causing inflammation and allergies. The ability of substances with mucoadhesive properties to create a protective barrier contributes to
to increase the defenses of the oropharyngeal mucosa. Calma GOLA Matt tablets are a medical device useful for relieving irritation of the upper respiratory tract and the commonly associated symptoms such as pain, difficulty swallowing, burning, dryness, cough, and hoarseness.
Mechanism of action
Polysaccharides contained in plant extracts, in synergy with sodium hyaluronate, form a mucoadhesive film that provides a protective effect and limits contact with external agents and irritants. Calma GOLA tablets are a useful adjuvant for the treatment of sore throats, even those associated with pharyngitis and laryngitis, as they have a soothing effect on the irritated mucosa. Calma GOLA tablets are also recommended for protecting mucous membranes from external agents such as cold temperatures, smoke, smog, and dust.
