Vitamin D

Immune system – Healthy bones

Vitamin D is naturally produced by the body, at the skin level, through the action of sunlight. Poor exposure to sunlight, the habit of working indoors, and insufficient dietary intake may be the cause of its deficiency or increased need. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth and normal muscle function. It also contributes to normal calcium and phosphorus absorption and normal immune system function.

Each tablet contains 50 mcg of Vitamin D3 equal to 2000 I.U.
The International Unit is a unit of measurement that indicates the amount of a substance based on its effect. 1 I.U. of Vitamin D3 is equivalent to 0.025 mcg of the substance.
